Interesting article Frank, albeit disgustingly partisan, interesting is the best description I can come up with. More interesting than the article is the comment section attached to it. The same fringe right-wing garble we've all become so accustomed to. If we can't all get to a place where we can embrace a middle ground in this country we are doomed. As I said in an earlier post I vehemently reject the extreme perspectives of either party. Where are the moderate voices and when are they going to start speaking up? There's a whole lot of us just waiting for someone we can believe in, and to date all we have is extremism.
The same fringe right-wing garble? Since when did the American people's concerns regarding government abuse of power, record-setting deficits and political ethics become the voice of the fringe? What is so “partisan” about wanting the President to be honest in his address to Congress? Our children’s chances of a bright future in this world are being diminished by this federal power grab. The federal government’s desire to control the health care industry is but one of many examples pointing to a disturbing trend regarding the imbalance of power. By forcing escalating debt on our citizens, the White House and Congress are enslaving us for years to come. The promise of a “budget-neutral” government controlled solution for health care is ludicrous to anyone who takes this debate seriously. Interesting how the 60’s liberal slogan “Power to the People” has lost all meaning today. It has become “Power to the White House!”

Yes, clearly many of the comments were right-wing fringe garble. Add to that the racist remarks and you got yourself an upcoming episode of the Jerry Springer Show.Be proud, be very, very proud. Oh! and do not talk to me about record-setting anythings when the prior President spent two billion dollars a month on a war but neglected to be included in any budget. It was as though if they didn't account for it then it would never really matter. Shall I continue? I've got plenty more, trust me. I'm not one of the sleepwalkers in our society who had my closed for the last eight years.
The current political atmosphere is so far removed from any kind of civility or decorum that I am embarrassed of our what I see. I am all for "power to the people". I saw firsthand how our efforts stopped a war and eliminated the archaic thinking in regards to women back in the 60's.
I understand you disagree with the current administration. The problem is the most notable people spreading your message the loudest are right-wing fringe garbled-voices. There's no moderation to embrace and the rest of society is just sitting back shaking their heads in disbelief. As long as that continues your ability to succeed just becomes more and more marginalized with every over-the-top escapade that presents itself right before our eyes.
