They go directly oversees and contribute to our ever expanding trade deficit.

Also, the biggest seller (at least as of last week) was the Ford Focus. I get a sense from the people I've spoken with that they are not just angry at the Democrates but it is politicians in general. The Democrates just happen to be the party in power at this moment. If it was the republicans our ire would be against them. Both sides need to step back and take a good long look at the political rhetoric they're spewing or they just might find themselves faced with constitutional changes they never thought they'd see in their lifetime. I've been hearing a lot of rumbling by angry people to get rid of lifetime politicians. Change the term limits for all our representative (except the presidency) to one consecutive term at a time. That should make them all wet their pants. Thanks for the kind words Frank. My computer is at your disposal. Just say when.Ira Schwartznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449585739874626782.post-40887815958780314932009-08-06T12:33:52.033-07:002009-08-06T12:33:52.033-07:00I agree with just about everything you have said. ...I agree with just about everything you have said. It appears that the latest polls showing quite a few Americans not endorsing the national healthcare has escaped notice of some very self important people.

However, on the cash for clunkers, I feel I should point out a few things. While I hear what you are saying, if it only included American cars, what lesson would be showing our auto makers? If they made better cars, they would be at the top of the list, they never seem to learn. And while I hope they are moving in that direction, proping them up at the expense of the buyer (still have repair bills to pay after all) isn't really promoting a free market.

In addition, the purchases contributed sales tax revenue, commission revenue and profits to Americans.

So it wasn't all bad.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16350245680571588663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449585739874626782.post-35242112025090522882009-08-06T11:17:58.143-07:002009-08-06T11:17:58.143-07:00Well said.Well said.SharonJewelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08210917743249160942noreply@blogger.com
